Tinu was my roommate in University, but she was so much more than just a roommate, as the fact that our friendship lasted 34 years testifies to. She was the older sister I didn't have, the voice of calm, reason and maturity amongst alot of my uncertain times. She was the rallying strength that always gave me courage when I was vulnerable. "Funmi, ma gba fun won!" (Don't give in to them) was a phrase she used to encourage me through many of my trials. Tinu was incredibly generous - big-hearted and open-handed. Her last act of kindness to me, just before she stared to experience her own final challenge, was to credit my account when I was facing a financial downturn. That was Tinuke. Tinu will be missed by my whole family, who knew and loved her as I did. My darling sister, my beautiful friend, rest in perfect peace in the arms of our Lord. Funmi Ilamah (Abuja)
